Election Day & Ursula K. Le Guin

It’s hard to believe that election day is already upon us here in the United States. I won’t get too much into politics today, but I wanted to put out a few things into the world.

We must persevere, we must not stop. Yes, the election is today, but that does not mean it is too late to get your voice heard. Vote if you haven’t voted. Encourage others to vote. Share the message that is dear to your heart in hopes that someone may listen.

Your Actions Matter. Your Words Matter

“We live in capitalism, its power seems inescapable — but then, so did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art. Very often in our art, the art of words.” -Ursula K. Le Guin1

I’ve been researching Ursula K. Le Guin this week, and I find much of what she has said to be quite inspiring, as well as fitting for the times we are currently in.

I hope everyone is safe today. I do not pray, but I will be hoping today that the election reaults tonight will lead us in a path towards justice.
